This is Python lesson 1.
First let’s learn how to show a message in Python. For this we will use the print command. Now we have to be careful when typing as a small mistake can make it go very wrong and bring up errors.
The code above will make the message ‘Hello World’ appear in the Python shell. So how does it work? The word ‘print’ means print but on the screen. We have to put brackets to enclose the information, and we have to put speech marks to tell the program that we want to print a word not a variable (We will get onto those later on). Try experimenting what you can print.
