Lesson 9

This Is Python Lesson 9

Now we are moving on again into the magical world of functions. Functions help us to shorten our programs. They are your own special set of commands. For example:

def say_hello():

print (“Hello”)

say_hello()

This code may look slightly worrying but is simple. First you are telling the computer what say_hello() means. In case it means print (“Hello”). You must always open and close brackets when using functions. You could have random things inside your functions or calculations who knows? Experiment with these amazing things.
